  5. We at U.S. Robotics appreciate the continued support of
  6. the SYSOP community.   Over the years, SYSOPs have
  7. provided us with invaluable feedback on our products.  We
  8. have thus made a commitment to help qualified SYSOPs
  9. purchase modems at a reduced price.

  11. Since we normally make our products available through
  12. wholesale distributors and resellers, only qualified BBS
  13. SYSOPs may participate in the program.  Setting down rigid
  14. guidelines allows us to protect our other business
  15. interests while allowing you to enjoy a substantial
  16. discount on high-performance U.S. Robotics products.

  18. 1.  Program rules, SYSOP modem prices, ordering information and
  19.     procedures are listed in the S)ysop Ordering Info section
  20.     of this bulletin board.
  21.  
  22. 2.  The SYSOP program is not a direct sales program for
  23.     resellers, end-users or users of commercial services,
  24.     user group members or users of BBSs.
  25.  
  26.     U.S. Robotics has other marketing programs designed
  27.     for the specific needs of these groups.  Information

  43.          U.S. Robotics SYSOP Sales Program Rules

  45. General:
  46.  
  47.     This section describes the rules of the U.S. Robotics
  48. SYSOP program.  U.S. Robotics reserves the right to modify
  49. or change these rules at any time.
  50.  
  51. Scope:
  52.  
  53.     The U.S. Robotics SYSOP Sales Program permits
  54. qualified SYSOPs to purchase current U.S. Robotics modem
  55. products at a reduced price.
  56.  
  57. Qualifications:
  58.  
  59. 1.  The SYSOP states that he/she is not in the business of
  60.     reselling computer products and related peripherals,
  61.     including modem products.
  62.  
  63. 2.  The SYSOP has been operating a bulletin board system
  64.     for at least 6 months.
  65.  
  66. 3.  The SYSOP understands that the number of modems that
  67.     may be obtained under this program is limited to the
  68.     number of working, verifiable data lines.  Modems
  69.     purchased under this program must be used on one of
  70.     the stated lines.
  71.  
  72. 4.  The SYSOP agrees to post an appropriate logon notice,
  73.     visible to users of the bulletin board, which states
  74.     that this bulletin board uses and supports U.S.
  75.     Robotics brand modems.
  76.  
  77. 5.  The SYSOP agrees that he/she intends to operate the
  78.     bulletin board, for which these modems are purchased,
  79.     for at least 6 months post purchase.
  80.  
  81. 6.  Resellers of U.S. Robotics modems are NOT eligible to
  82.     purchase modems under this program. Instead, qualified
  83.     resellers may take advantage of other marketing
  84.     programs offered by U.S. Robotics, under the U.S.
  85.     Robotics Authorized Dealer Program.  Information is
  86.     available by calling: 800-292-2988.
  87.  
  88. 7.  U.S. Robotics will ship modem(s) to qualified
  89.     SYSOPs as soon as possible after:

  92.     a.  The SYSOP completes the order form and
  93.         questionnaire found immediately after these rules
  94.         and mail it along with the appropriate
  95.         payment and shipping instructions to:
